3. Primary Purpose:
To plan, lead and control the commercial activities of the nominated territory to achieve agreed targets of turnover, market share, profitability, product mix and professionalism
4. Scope/Dimensions:
- Located in the allocated territory and responsible for building good customer relationships with resellers and distributors through proactive sales and marketing activities. This position will necessitate significant planned travel throughout the territory
5. Key Result Areas:
- Achievement of sales budget and expanding sales and market share
- Establish territory plans as well as key customer plans for the territory
- Develop annual product sales forecasts and manage stock levels through accurate forecasting
- Market priming and launching new Adama products
- Development and maintenance of key accounts and strategic business relationships to enable mutual growth objectives
- Successful preparation of quotations and costings
- Successfully specifying products and achieving product budgets
- Successfully resolving customer complaints
- Successfully undertaking administration duties associated with the role
- To ensure all comments and actions are proactive when dealing with customers To represent at all times Adama professionally to further enhance its reputation

Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales or marketing roles preferably within the agricultural industry

- Experience gained in a commercial environment preferably from working with a supplier or retailer in a growth environment
- Very strong interpersonal skills demonstrated in a commercial environment
- Commercial ag chemical knowledge and experience
- Must hold a current Motor Vehicle Licence
- To maintain strict confidence on all financial information
- Have a high degree of commercial acumen, negotiation skills and flexibility in achieving sustainable outcomes
- Capacities to collect, interpret, analyse and communicate marketing information to a range of audiences
