Job Description
Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated full-time Commis Chef to join our team at the renowned Oaks and Vine restaurant.
This is an excellent chance to become part of a global company committed to expanding its presence across Australia and New Zealand, with over 65 locations and counting. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and cook high quality food
- Supervise and train kitchen staff
- Assisting in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
- Helping to create good communication between FOH and BOH
- Keep the kitchen organized and clean
Hourly Rates (Excluding Super)
Monday - Friday: $28.12 per hour
Saturday: $35.15 per hour
Sunday: $42.18 per hour
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Hold relevant Certificate III cookery qualifications and previous experience in a similar role.
- Have knowledge about Modern Australian Cuisine
- Have knowledge and understanding of HACCP and OH&S
- Be flexible to work a range of different shifts, including weekends.
- Be able to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment.
- Be able to coach and motivate less experienced members of the kitchen team.
- Be self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
