Key Responsibilities:
- Design, coordinate, and deliver community-based programs, workshops, and events.
- Create and implement targeted initiatives to respond to identified community needs.
- Advocate for clients to secure access to essential services and support from appropriate agencies.
- Work in partnership with families, healthcare teams, therapists, and support coordinators to provide holistic care.
- Promote awareness of available programs, resources, and community services.
- Build collaborative relationships with local organizations and stakeholders to advance the rights and interests of vulnerable groups.
- Assist individuals in developing life skills that foster independence and active participation in the community.
- Guide recovery planning, support goal setting, and connect clients with mental health and welfare resources.
- Educate and engage community members on pressing social issues, encouraging collective action.
- Offer direct assistance to individuals and families during crises or emergencies.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and organizational standards.
Core Skills & Qualifications:
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
- At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong cultural awareness and empathetic approach.
- Proficiency in case management and client advocacy.
- Skilled in designing and implementing community programs.
- Ability to manage crises, mediate conflicts, and provide effective support.
