Description

Austroads is looking for a full-time Compliance and Audit Coordinator to support the Audit Lead in the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) compliance and audit framework.

Major responsibilities/accountabilities

The role is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and timely administrative support in the maintenance of the audit and assurance program including the audit framework, guidelines, procedures and processes.
  • Drawing upon multiple sources of data, information and other knowledge to provide reports.
  • Responding to simple audit and compliance queries from stakeholders, while referring complex queries to the Audit Lead.
  • Overseeing and coordinating Approved Training Provider application process from initial query through to Services Agreement.
  • Overseeing and coordinating contract variations for Approved Training Providers.
  • Reviewing, preparing and maintaining audit and compliance documentation as directed by Audit Lead.
  • Entering and maintaining audit and compliance data in the TTM Registry.
  • Assisting in audit preparation including audit schedule as directed.
  • As required maintaining minutes, agendas and mailing lists.
  • Conducting additional surveys as required for example surveys via phone.
  • Analysing established surveys responses as required.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, identifying ways to enhance value for our members and the public.
  • Maintaining and adhere to Quality Systems processes and procedures associated with the role.
  • Other duties as directed.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

The position requires high-level skills in understanding the Vocational, Education and Training (VET) environment, VET quality framework and Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations.

The Compliance and Audit Coordinator will possess:

  • Minimum two years’ experience with a compliance focus in an Registered Training Organisation (RTO) training environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the standards for NVR and regulatory requirements in the VET sector.
  • Sound judgment and analytical/evaluative skills.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Experience in data entry and report analysis and preparation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others or independently.
  • Previous experience supporting and participating in audits is highly desirable.
