About the business:
We're a manufacturing business based near Windsor, who produces goods for the animal healthcare industry. We make a range of different products based on contract manufacturing work, as well as our own range of products under the brand VETSENSE.
About the Role:
The Compounding Technician plays a critical role in daily production activities and also during the scale up and optimisation of existing and new veterinary formulations (liquids, gels and pastes).
Key responsibilities include:
- Manufacture daily production batches (liquids and pastes) in line with the production schedule.
- Support product specific ramp-ups, or changes for new raw materials, new compounds or new mixing production processes.
- Create and update Plant Recipes for newly developed products, or standardise compounding procedures for exiting products.
- Updating of product process FMEA according to local conditions and standards
- Identify and implement product optimization potential (e.g. raw material replacement, mixing times, temperatures, pH) in running products in alignment with R&D and production
- Proactively solving quality issues (in close cooperation with QA and operations)
- Identify and implement technical production processes, and optimising potential procedures regarding quality, efficiency and capability.
The ideal candidate:
- Professional experience in the Pharma or chemical industry
- Cross functional experience, preferred
- Strength in basic mathematics
- Team player with strong work ethic
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex issues and propose workable solutions to problems.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong safety focus
- You will need to be physically strong and fit to fulfil the position
*Day shift only, Monday to Friday.

Pay: $38.00 – $41.00 per hour
