Marsh is seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Advocacy team based in the Sydney office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Construction insurance claims advocate or broking professional to join Marsh’s Construction Claims Solutions. Reporting directly to the Head of Construction Claims Solutions, Pacific Region, you will be responsible for providing clients with proactive and strategic advice on navigating their claims process with insurers.

We will count on you to:
- Provide coverage and claims strategy advice to clients on claims with major coverage issues in order to assist with claims preparation
- Identify appropriate policies and/or coverage's on less complex coverage issues and analyses notification against the same in order to provide solutions to clients against future risks
- Facilitate claims process (with less complexity) for clients, with supervision in order to ensure progress from notification through to closure
- Monitor insurer response and engages with insurers and their professional advisers on less complex issues in order to support smooth review of claims for clients
- Draft communication documents for clients, such as correspondence letters, claims calculations and reviews documents prepared by the clients in order to support the less complex claims process for clients
- Provide claims related data such as loss statistics, key trends, cost reduction opportunities and other data in order to assist development of action plans to manage client's total cost of risk
- Interacts with individual CEs, Claims Advocacy colleagues and Claims Operations colleagues to provide support to the team in making the claims process smooth
We would like you to have:
- All around a high level of experience across construction insurance policies/claims including but not limited to contract works, industrial special risk, and liability claims
- Good level of experience across Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong technical knowledge around construction claims
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to act proactively to drive relationships and manage a range of stakeholders with a clear customer focus
- Mature in outlook and strength of character to discuss complex issues with senior leaders and carry out meetings with confidence
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
