Primary Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a Construction Supervisor to undertake a leading role in our progressive and forward-thinking business whose industry knowledge and experience can help further innovate and expand Rubiks Roofing beyond our goals and parameters. The successful candidate will maintain a high level of professionalism, representing and promoting our company in the communities we work in to build a positive outlook and reputation. All the while looking for ways to maintain and further improve our quality of service and standards to the benefit of the client.
The successful candidate will display and maintain a strong work ethic, sharing in our passion and drive for the topmost quality in delivering our projects. They will present themselves as a strong and reliable role model amongst multiple teams and pride themselves in their knowledge and ability to deliver an outstanding project.
Strong communication and management skills between administration and crews is essential to maintain a seamless project, as well as the ability to make quick and efficient decisions on the spot to tackle challenges as they arise. The Site Supervisor will represent the company to contractors, suppliers, and clients in a professional and skillful manner to maintain our standard of excellence and increase sales.
Qualifications & Requirements
● A Minimum of 5 Years Experience in Roofing
● Previous Experience in a Similar Leadership Role
● Openness to Learn About the Operations, Procedures, and Expectations of Work in the Insurance, Commercial, and Private Residential Project Sectors
● Strong Knowledge of Current Building Codes Including Australian Standards, SA HB 39, and QBCC Requirements, With Constant Attention to Detail
● Have Exceptional Knowledge in Roofing in accordance with SA HB 39 and Problem Solving Skills, and the Ability to Share This Knowledge With Our Team Members Using Effective Communication Skills
● Punctuality and Skills in the Use of Technology Including Apple Devices
Main Tasks & Duties
● Site Safety & WHS Checklists Preliminary to Site Opening
● Supervising the Installation of Metal Roofs Allocated to Subcontractors & Crews Across SEQ, Northern NSW, and Storm Affected Areas Across QLD.
● Ability to Work Independently Whilst Maintaining High Work Quality, Motivation, Integrity, With Attention to Detail
● Practice Leadership & Respect When Interacting with Crews and Clients
● Conduct Insurance Grade Roof Inspections & Reports – Travel where required
● Make Safes in all work locations - travel where required.
● Rectifications/ Small Maintenance work in all work locations - travel where required.
● Measure Inspections & Takeoffs as required
● Prepare Site Plans & Folders for Crews as required
● Daily Crew Management, Check Ins, and Progress Reports - in all work locations, traveling where required.
● Assist Management with Scope Adjustments where required - as per HB39 Roof Plumbing Standards.
● Meet With Suppliers, Clients, and Potential Leads - in all work locations - travel where required.
● Enforce Safety Expectations Amongst Roofing Crews in all work locations including - HB39 Roof Plumbing Standards - travel where required.
● Training Team Members when doing quality audits and inspections - as per HB39 Roof Plumbing Standards - in all work locations - travel where required.
● Support team members on their level.
● Client dispute resolution in all work locations - as per HB39 Roof Plumbing Standards - travel where required.
● Ensure that strict deadlines and KPI’s are met in all work locations - travel where required.
● Weekly meetings to discuss job outcomes and performance.
● Weekly meeting to discuss team members outcomes and performance.
● Engage in performance managing team members and crews.
● Assist with company development and building better processes and systems that will benefit your position and all team members.
● Assisting with building team culture
● Encourage team members to engage in team building activities.
● Advocate and build strong relationships with crew members
● Other Reasonable Tasks as Required by Management
Availability
● Day Shifts from Monday through to Friday, With Weekend Availability

Remuneration
Remuneration for this position is offered above award rate at a salary of $105,000.00 per annum, in accordance with the Plumbing and Fire Sprinklers Award 2020 (MA000036), full time. In addition to this the following benefits are added:
● Serviced Company Vehicle (Not for Personal use) ($10,000.00 a year added to salary if you wish to use your own work vehicle)

● Fuel Card (Not for Personal use)
● Relocation Support – A $10,000 relocation allowance is available for candidates relocating from outside the Darling Downs and Lockyer regions to be closer to our office (conditions apply).
