About the Role
The Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning is responsible for establishing, delivering and maintaining strength and conditioning programs for a variety of sports. In addition to supporting the CGS Sports Programmes, this role will also be responsible for creating an environment that promotes Healthy and Active Lifestyles to the whole School Community.
The Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning will manage a team of coaches that together will create safe and progressive training plans according to sound scientific principles. The Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning will be responsible for the weekly staff roster, maintaining the required facility, and for establishing policies, plans, and procedures for the safe and professional operation of the facility.
This a part-time, fixed term (one year) role. The successful candidate will do five shifts during the week (either 6:00am to 8:30am, 3:30pm to 5:30pm or a combination of both and a two hour shift on Saturday).
About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
- Effective leadership skills with the ability to inspire others
- A successful record of leadership and implementation of sport development programs
- Engaging and enthusiastic coaching style with effective communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with distinct levels of abilities across various age groups
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective training sessions
- Willingness to work weekends and non-traditional hours as required.
All team members at CGS are required to have:
- Appropriate qualifications (including First Aid)
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- A current National Police Check; and
- Full working rights within Australia.
