Counsellors – Multiple Positions

Location: based at Skylight metropolitan locations (Elizabeth, Mile End and Christies Beach)

Skylight programs deliver a range of recovery-oriented community mental health services by working alongside people experiencing mental illness, family and friends who support them, and the broader general South Australian community.
Skylight is seeking multiple qualified Counsellors to work as part of a multi-disciplinary mental health team to assist in the development, delivery and evaluation of high quality therapeutic services.
The Counsellors will primarily deliver one-to-one services but may at times co-facilitate other therapeutic groups. The program provides fee-based, NDIS and grant funded services.
Requirements for Success
- A tertiary qualification in Counselling and ideally a minimum of three years’ experience in counselling or therapeutic health services in Australia
- Current and full registration with ACA or PACFA
- Excellent high level communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal
- Demonstrated ability for self-reflection and self-awareness
- Demonstrated ability to use therapeutic interventions and use appropriate tools
- Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of and alignment with Person-Centred, Trauma-Informed, and Recovery-based approaches
- Current SA Drivers Licence; DHS Working With Children check and NDIS Worker Check
