In this role, you will:

  • Drive arts, events and placemaking projects that bring joy and purpose to public spaces
  • Develop and implement creative, community-driven place activation strategies
  • Collaborate with local businesses, artists and residents to create shared, meaningful experiences
  • Build partnerships, sponsorships and commercial opportunities that elevate Waverley’s cultural footprint
  • Empower the community to lead their own events through supportive activation pathways

What you’ll bring

  • Enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable attitude to program delivery and innovation, ability to develop new ideas from scratch and enhance existing programs
  • Experience working within events management and program design
  • Experience in building partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high capacity for decision-making skills, initiative, creative approaches to problem solving, and working collaboratively
  • Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and achieving revenue targets
  • Significant equivalent experience in developing and delivering live performance-based cultural programs that support artists and engage diverse audiences
