About the role: We’re seeking an up-and-coming cyber analyst to support the implementation and maintenance of robust governance activities and frameworks, to ensure Aurizon’s cyber security risk and compliance objectives are met and control maturity aligns to the enterprise strategy.
This role would suite someone with a keen interest in cyber, with relevant theoretic or practical experience. This role will operate within a growing cyber function, working closely with other analysts and specialists and offers ample opportunity for growth and development across the various identity, data, endpoint and network security platform services
Primary activities would include:
- Support implementation and enforcement of cyber security policy, standards, guidelines.
- Conduct threat and risk assessments and security reviews of third-party suppliers, SaaS providers, and other business integrations.
- Support the delivery of formal metrics to assess the effectiveness of cyber security controls and the cyber security operations through Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or other periodic reports.
- Support all incident response efforts and maintain incident response tools and processes.
- Participate in post incident reviews and undertake initiatives to remediate weaknesses in preventative or detective controls.
- Participate in cyber security awareness communications and training program.
- Support the team with general administration. -
About you:
- Tertiary degree in IT / Software Engineering / Networking / Engineering / Accounting (mandatory).
- Highly organised and analytical in problem solving and understanding the business needs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Accustomed to working within a collaborative team environment.
