About the Role
This role manages daily depot operations and ensures every guest leaves ready for their RedSands adventure. You’ll conduct 4WD camper handovers, manage vehicle cleanliness and minor repairs, and support guests during and after their journey.
Note: This is not your average Monday to Friday job. Tourism doesn’t stop on weekends and neither do we, so rostered weekend work will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Support & Vehicle Handover
- Deliver friendly, informative, and professional vehicle demonstrations
- Share destination tips and helpful travel advice
- Provide calm, responsive support to guests on the road
- Complete thorough vehicle return checks
Vehicle Safety
- Schedule regular servicing and safety checks for returning vehicles in advance
- Ensure critical safety tasks are completed, including but not limited to:
- Tyre replacements
- Wheel alignments
- Mechanical repairs
- Other required maintenance
Vehicle Prep & Quality Control
- Clean, restock and turn around vehicles to high standards
- Complete minor repairs and maintenance to vehicles and equipment
- Keep the depot clean, safe and organised
- Inspect all gear to maintain quality and reliability
Time & Team Management
- Manage your daily workflow and priorities
- Help onboard and lead casual staff during peak times
Health & Safety
- Identify and address safety concerns across fleet and depot
- Follow and support safe work practices and documentation
What We’re Looking For
- A love for 4WD travel, camping, and the outdoors
- Great communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Physically fit and hands-on by nature
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Valid driver’s licence
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with systems
Bonus Points For
- Experience with Rental Car Manager (RCM)
- German language skills (many of our guests are from German speaking countries)
- Small business or tourism/hospitality background
- Basic mechanical or off-road vehicle knowledge
