We are excited to announce an opening for a Digital Arts Engagement Manager in the Arts, Sport and Initiatives unit in our Student Support & Specialist Programs directorate.
  • Location: Lewisham with access to various NSW Education offices and flexible working arrangements available
  • Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12 with base salary ranging from $149,739 to $173,174 per annum, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the Student Support and Specialist Programs directorate
The Student Support and Specialist Programs directorate is responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of state-wide services and specialist programs to support student engagement and opportunities including Arts, Sport, Community Languages and International programs.
The Child Wellbeing and Mental Health Services team focuses on the delivery of student support services including support for students in the areas of mental health, wellbeing and complex needs.
The Assisted School Travel Program provides transportation services for students with additional needs from home to school and back to ensure all students are able to access education in NSW public schools.
Student opportunities across all areas are enhanced through partnerships with industry specialists and stakeholders.
About the role
The Digital Arts Engagement Manager manages a team responsible for digital content development, asset management, compliance and accessibility, communication and promotion, and instructional design in the arts for NSW public schools.

About you
You are a strategic and collaborative leader with deep experience in digital content development and a passion for arts education. You bring a strong background in project and team management, instructional design, and digital engagement, with a solid understanding of accessibility, compliance, and digital communication best practices. With an ability to manage multiple priorities, you thrive in fast-paced environments and are confident coordinating with diverse stakeholders to deliver innovative, high-quality digital resources that support creative arts programs across NSW public schools.
Key knowledge and experience:
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of web-based learning and digital authoring software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accessibility requirements for digital communication.
  • Knowledge of the specific requirements of visual and performing arts events and broad experience in the development of digital learning resources.
  • Knowledge of current departmental and government policies and procedures in relation to digital media.
  • Extensive experience in video production, editing and live streaming.
  • Experience in digital project management.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements:
  • Hold a valid Drivers’ licence
  • Hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment (or willing to acquire one)
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
