About the Role

We are looking for a Divisional Coordinator to support the Museum Experience & Engagement Division.

The Divisional Coordinator provides administrative support to the Director, Museum Experience & Engagement (MEE), and coordinates the work of the MEE Division, including undertaking research, analysis, and reporting for the Division. This is a key support tole for the MEE Division, anticipating the needs of the Divisional Director and proactively working with unit heads and managers across the Division.

  • 35 hours per week

You will be paid a competitive annual salary $84,659 - $92,701, plus employer's contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading.


About the Museum Experience & Engagement Division

The Museum Experience & Engagement Division is responsible for creating engaging and meaningful experiences for our visitors through exhibitions, events, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives including commercial avenues.

The Division works to make the Australian Museum's world-class collections and research accessible to diverse audiences, supporting the Museum's mission to ignite wonder, inspire debate and drive change. This dynamic division collaborates across all areas of the Museum to deliver exceptional visitor experiences both onsite and online.


About you

You will have experience as a Team Assistant or Coordinator supporting senior executives and be comfortable working with various stakeholders and be a contributor to various projects. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 3+ years' experience as a Team Assistant/Coordinator, including diary management and scheduling experience
  • First rate organisation skills with the ability to multitask and deal with competing priorities
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive,
  • Experience in CRM platforms such as Tessitura, advantageous
  • Experience in developing and delivering projects for a range of stakeholder groups
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with budget and forecasting assistance, advantageous
  • Experience managing correspondence and liaising with internal teams
  • Experience with meeting coordination, agenda preparation, presentation creation and minute taking
