As a cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
What you'll be doing
- Thoroughly cleaning and sanitising residents' rooms, communal areas, kitchens, and bathrooms
- Replenishing supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels
- Collecting and disposing of waste in accordance with infection control protocols
- Washing, drying, ironing, and carefully returning residents’ clothing and linens
- Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the facilities management team
- Adhering to all health, safety, and quality standards within the facility
- Previous experience as a cleaner, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
- A current Police Clearance (less than 6 months)
- Flexibility to work hours Monday to Sunday between 6am to 6pm, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as needed
- It is recommended that you will have 2 COVID Vaccinations and an up-to-date Flu vaccination
