Starshine Support Services is looking for a support worker for a young boy.
What we need from you:
- Supporting with community access, daily living activities and personal care.
- Facilitating community inclusion and participation, dependent on the individual's needs, abilities, and preferences, and supporting participants to establish and maintain relationships and interests through access to community activities, daily living supports and other core services.
- Abiding by the service communication, reporting, and participant program progress practices and procedures, by maintaining appropriate participant shift notes and records.
- Working with participants, family members, and other stakeholders in a collaborative and supportive manner.
- Recognising and upholding the right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of the person being supported and their family.
Qualifications & experience
- Applicants should hold a VIC NDIS Worker's Screening Check
- VIC Working With Children Check
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- A valid full VIC Driver's License (and fully a insured vehicle)
- National Police clearance check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Previous experience in the Disability and Mental Health Sector and/or similar in Human Services is highly regarded but not necessary
