Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.
Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social and health facilities and tourism is a developing focus for the region.
Early Childhood Educator - Bachelor (Long Day Care)
Salary: $73,089.64 per annum pro rata

At Greater Shepparton City Council’s Children’s Services, we're dedicated to providing exceptional early childhood education. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Bachelor of Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Frank Pullar Children’s Centre. This position is 6 hours per day, 5 days a week and will primarily involve working in the Kindergarten room.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for both new graduates and those currently pursuing their Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. As part of our team, you'll have the chance to receive mentorship and support while continuing your studies.
As a valued member of our team, you'll collaborate with our Kindergarten education team to create a nurturing, play-based curriculum. We believe in fostering an environment where children's interests, cultures, and abilities are at the forefront of their learning journey. Your role will involve supporting the holistic development of each child, nurturing their self-confidence and preparing them for success.

Applicants must hold the following current qualifications and certificates:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent recognised by ACECQA) or actively working towards
- Current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
- Current CPR – HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Criminal History Check (valid within six months).
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration OR Current and valid Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other obligations early childhood
