About the position
The RTO Compliance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that community+ Education (RTO) maintains full compliance with all relevant regulatory, and curriculum frameworks. This includes adherence to the AQTF, VRQA Guidelines for VET Providers, and funding contract obligations across all community+ Education programs.
Reporting to the General Manager Community Education and working collaboratively with education managers, and the rest of the education team, the Compliance Coordinator ensures that all operational, training, assessment, data reporting, and recordkeeping practices meet internal quality standards and external audit requirements. The role is responsible for leading compliance audits and validations, managing rectification actions, supporting continuous improvement processes, and facilitating staff understanding of compliance obligations through training and guidance.
Through this work, the Compliance Coordinator supports the General Manager in ensuring that the RTO complies with all relevant Regulatory and Curriculum Frameworks while providing inclusive, high-quality education and training to diverse learners, helping ensure ongoing funding eligibility, contractual performance, and regulatory registration.
This position is an onsite role primarily based at the commUnity+ St Albans site; however, the role may require attendance at other locations from time to time. This is a fixed term, part time position averaging 22.8 hours per week.
Key Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualification/s in relevant discipline/s, including compliance, education, and management.
- Minimum two (2) years education leadership experience in the community education or Vocational Education and Training sector, specifically compliance focused.
- Broad understanding of the contractual, legislative, and regulatory environment in which commUnity+ operates, including Adult Migrant English Program and Skills for Education and Employment Service Provider Instructions and the VET Funding Contract Skills First Program.
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and monitoring data collection and reporting.
- Passion for community development and education
- Proven ability to manage time and plan priorities to realise agreed deadlines in a complex environment with competing demands.
- Communication, engagement and negotiation skills with a focus on diverse communities and team collaboration.
Additionally, Detailed understanding of community education, BSB50920 Diploma of Quality Auditing or other relevant postgraduate qualifications focused on Vocational Education and Training sector and TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment highly regarded.
