About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Coordinator to join our team at Cataby. This hands-on role ensures equipment availability by managing scheduled maintenance, downtime, and spare parts. You’ll lead and support a team of electrical tradespeople, providing supervision and coaching to drive effective and efficient maintenance. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of electrical systems across site operations.
Specific responsibilities will be:
- Ensuring the safe completion of all electrical works on site, including carrying out prestart risk assessments and the authorisation and sign off of JHAs
- Provide technical support for electrical and instrumentation systems, including high, medium, and low voltage, as well as process control systems
- Lead fault-finding activities to support defect elimination
- Develop maintenance strategies for high voltage equipment, motors, and variable speed drives to enhance plant availability
- Maintain critical spares and establish contingency plans for sourcing external technical support for specialised firmware and protection relays
- Support electrical project execution, including interpreting plans and redlining electrical drawings
- Oversee the performance and safety of electrical contractors during shutdowns
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements by ensuring all works performed are within relevant laws and regulations
About You
- Western Australian Electrical Licence & capability to be the statutory electrical nominee as required
- High risk work licenses
- EWP and Working at Heights – preferred
- Experience managing High Voltage systems and switching programs
- Experience with SCADA/ PLC control systems
- Commitment to a pro-active approach to safety and the environment
- Extensive knowledge of fixed plant and infrastructure services in the mining industry, including fault-finding and troubleshooting methodologies/processes
- Ability to communicate effectively and engage key stakeholders
- Knowledge of maintenance systems including SAP or equivalent CMMS
