The Administration Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to the Facilities Department to assist with the smooth operation of managing the Council’s facilities. The position supports the delivery of a range of services, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the Department through excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage administrative tasks.

Salary Range: $77,695 - $82,695 gross per annum
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have:
| Essential Knowledge, skills and abilities |
- Well-developed clerical, administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to self-manage, determine work priorities, meet deadlines and workflows, utilising a high level of initiative.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills including a high level of verbal and written communication ability, and the ability to liaise and negotiate with a wide range of people.
- Advanced computer literacy with the ability to utilise finance, records management system and Microsoft Office suite, particularly word and excel, with the ability to prepare a wide range of correspondence and documentation including letters, reports and submissions.
- Ability to exercise judgement and initiative where procedures are not clearly defined.
- Ability to work independently or in a team in a professional and positive manner with the ability to be tactful, discrete and maintain confidentiality when dealing with matters of a sensitive nature.
- Flexible team player with a willingness to step in at times, where resource gaps are identified.

- Possession and maintenance of a Queensland ‘C’ Class Driver Licence
| Physical Requirements / Position Environment |
- This position is primarily an indoor role and requires sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting, which involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and operating a computer and telephone. May be required to carry out light to moderate manual handling, bending, kneeling, twisting, squatting, lifting and carrying.
