About the Role
As the Relieving Administration Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Directorate. This dynamic and flexible position involves performing a variety of administrative duties across ward clerk, secretarial and reception functions. You’ll assist with patient administration, data entry, word processing, records management and general clerical tasks to ensure the smooth running of services and support for both administrative and multidisciplinary teams.
Working in a relief capacity means you'll gain experience across multiple areas and adapt to different teams and workflows, making each day varied and rewarding. Reporting to the Administration Coordinator—or depending on location, the Nurse Unit Manager or Head of Unit—you’ll bring a can-do attitude, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
Proven experience in admin support, data entry, and MS Office applications
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare admin procedures
