Job Description
To provide effective Medical and Emergency Response services to Poitrel Mine site. To support the deliverables of the Health and Safety Team and assist with continuity of service of the Site Access Centre (SAC).
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain preparedness to and delivery of effective Mines Rescue Emergency Response, including effective preparation, training and response capability of yourself and fellow team mates. Maintain own ERT competencies to the standard required by the Mine.
- Assist in the management of emergency equipment and vehicles to ensure a state of operational readiness and response to site and local emergencies, including the ability to honour any MOU’s that are held with Poitrel Mine.
- Be fully capable all SAC duties to provide effective SAC coverage when required.
- Assist in site shutdown preparations and provide subject matter expert advise on working at height, confined space and other high-risk work activities and workplaces.
- Provide Drug and Alcohol testing on site as per site procedures.
- Actively participate in shift pre-start meetings.
- Conduct equipment and vehicle inspections as per site requirements.
- Assist Paramedic with patients as required for patient treatment.
- Maintain a current working knowledge of mining, CHPP and remote work areas to ensure timely, effective response emergencies in all work areas.
- Compile and present weekly safety reports, Monthly Incident Summary Report and Prescribed Disease Notifications.
- Participate in Field Leadership and attend safety meetings, Teams meetings as required.
- Maintain and monitor equipment and consumables. Ensure equipment servicing and calibration records are maintained and suppliers engaged in alignment to purchasing procedures.
Qualifications
Current Rescue Coal Board Medical without restrictions
Current MR or HR Vehicle licence
Certificate III Emergency Response and Rescue
HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing
Desirable:
Workplace Rehabilitation and Coordination Qualifications
