What you’ll be doing in this role 
We are currently recruiting for Emergency Registrar Advanced Trainees with rotations in Ultrasound, ICU or Anaesthetics for 6 months to two-year contracts. That is a total of 12 months accredited Emergency training available (ACEM trainee).  Our Anaesthetic, ICU and Ultrasound terms are accredited for 6 months part-time by ACEM. Other training opportunities may be made available inclusive of paediatrics at Sydney Children’s Hospital, medical administration and medical terms.

This position at the Sydney Adventist Hospital provides an exciting opportunity to work in a busy private department with first-class facilities and a great team of medical, nursing and allied health staff.

Who we are looking for:

Essential requirements:

  1. Current ACEM trainees post primary examination (TS2, TS3 or TS4)
  2. Must hold current AHPRA registration.

Desirable requirements:

  1. Demonstrated commitment to training in emergency medicine.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  3. Ability to work independently within a supervised clinical environment using excellent clinical skills, judgement, and expertise.
  4. Demonstrated excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  5. Great interpersonal skills with compassionate and professional communication with patients, their family, and your colleagues.
  6. Demonstrated systematic approach to department management with ability to prioritise tasks, take initiative and problem solve to safely manage critically unwell patients.
  7. To be adaptable to a team-oriented and fast-paced work environment.  
  8. Be willing to undertake relevant ongoing professional development.
