Are you passionate about creating psychologically safe, inclusive workplaces and driving strategic employee relations outcomes? We’re looking for a dynamic Employee Relations Business Partner to join our People & Culture team.
The Opportunity
In this role, you’ll provide expert advice on Employee Relations (ER), Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), and employment legislation across Australia and New Zealand. You’ll manage complex cases, support leaders, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that shape our workplace culture.
Please note, this is an initial 20-month max-term contract, open to 4-5 days per week, and flexible on location within Australia or New Zealand for the right person.
What will your typical week look like?
- Manage end-to-end ER and WHS cases, including investigations and dispute resolution
- Provide strategic advice on employment law, workplace policies, and health & wellbeing matters
- Represent the organisation in employment-related claims and conciliations
- Deliver data-driven insights to stakeholders to inform decision-making
- Lead and contribute to ER capability building and continuous improvement projects Support strategic initiatives such as acquisition due diligence and performance reviews
Let’s talk about you
The successful person will possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role within Employee or Industrial Relations.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law; NZ experience is a plus
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Law, or Employee Relations
- Proven ability to coach leaders and influence stakeholders
- Commercial mindset with a balanced approach to compliance and business needs Passion for learning, mentoring, and driving positive workplace change.
