What’s the role?
This is your opportunity to lead with purpose. As Executive Manager, Incident & Crisis Management, you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding Westpac’s operations during times of disruption. Based in Sydney or interstate, this full-time position is all about readiness, response, and resilience. You’ll coordinate crisis and incident response efforts across the Group, chair key meetings, and ensure senior leaders are informed and empowered to act. You’ll also drive continuous improvement through training, testing, and strategic planning - so we’re always prepared for what’s next.

In this pivotal role, you’ll bring a calm, strategic mindset to high-stakes situations, guiding our organisation through uncertainty with confidence and clarity. You’ll be a trusted voice in the room when it matters most.
What you’ll bring:
- Must have significant experience leading crisis and incident response in large, complex organisations - demonstrated success navigating high-pressure, high-impact scenarios with composure and strategic foresight
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills , with the ability to influence and align diverse groups under pressure
- Outstanding communication skills , both written and verbal - clear, concise, and credible in moments of urgency
- A proactive approach to risk , with a strong track record in identifying vulnerabilities and implementing effective mitigation strategies
- A continuous improvement mindset , with experience designing and delivering crisis simulations, training, and response exercises to build organisational resilience
Given the dynamic nature of this role, a flexible approach to working hours -including occasional availability for evening and weekend on-call duties is required on a rostered basis.
