ABOUT THE ROLE
As our External Affairs Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth operation of our external affairs efforts. From executive assistance and workflow management to event logistics and media communications support, you’ll be the go-to person for ensuring our advocacy and communications efforts run seamlessly.
This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where your attention to detail, digital savvy skills, and ability to juggle multiple priorities will shine. You’ll work closely with the Public Affairs Lead and collaborate across teams to bring our strategy to life and deliver value to our members.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide executive support to the Group Executive and general admin support across the External Affairs team
- Manage diaries, travel, expenses, and inbox triage
- Coordinate document workflows, media releases, and digital publishing
- Support event planning, logistics, and communications campaigns
- Track metrics, prepare reports, and maintain accurate databases
- Assist with policy research and media monitoring
- Help streamline processes and drive operational efficiency
- 3–4 years’ experience in a communications or External Affairs support role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to write clearly and concisely for various audiences and formats
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, CMS, and social media tools
- Solid understanding of the media landscape and experience coordinating media activities
- Experience coordinating events and managing logistics
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain confidentiality
- Bonus: Experience in membership bodies, regulators, or international organisations
