Are you an experienced pharmaceutical manufacturing Facility Manager? Join Our Moderna Team at Equans ANZ
Located in Clayton, Melbourne, the successful applicant will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, with a strong background in managing complex environments within the pharmaceutical, Life science, GMP, Biotech, R&D and or Manufacturing industries.
Much of this available role will be to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operations of our pharmaceutical facility.

What You Will Be Doing
- Oversee the daily operations of all facility functions, including but not limit to maintenance, safety, janitorial services, GMP scope, compliance, landscaping, pest control, IFM scope of Hard and Soft services.
- Develop and implement facility management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
- Manage facility budgets, including planning and allocation of resources for maintenance and improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facility operations, including safety, environmental standards and manufacturing process.
- Lead and manage a team of facility staff and contractors, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Plan and oversee renovations, refurbishments, and building projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure facilities meet regulatory and company standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs and ensure seamless facility operations.
- Respond to emergencies and facility-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Ability to organise and multi-task in a high-volume and fast paced environment.

What You Need
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) are a plus.
- Knowledge of GxP & GMP practices.
- Full, unrestricted work rights in Australia.
- Ability to pass National Police Check.
Your Qualifications
- A solid knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards.
- In-depth knowledge of facility management best practices, including maintenance, safety, and compliance standards preferably in the pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in facility management software and systems (CMMS, Maximo preferably).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget planning and management.
- Ability to develop and review key SOP’s relating.
