This position is offered as a part -time contract opportunity until August 2026 working 4 days / week (28 hours)
- Located at Uniting's Counselling and Mediation Centre in Wollongong
- Need to be available to work in the centre on Wednesday
About You
- Accredited by the Australian Attorney-General’s Department (AGD) as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, or eligible for accreditation. Applicants who are unsure of eligibility should contact the AGD Practitioner Accreditation Unit. Uniting will require evidence of eligibility.
- Tertiary qualifications in law, psychology or social work.
- An understanding of the process and purpose of child inclusive mediation practice.
- Knowledge of family law legislation.
- Knowledge and understanding of community services, especially those relating to families experiencing relationship difficulties.
- Understanding of child protection issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as be able to contribute to the functioning of the team.
- Excellent communication, organisation and writing skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Meet the program-specific client targets.
