Female Acquired Brain Injury Support Worker (Casual)

Supporting Abilities for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is seeking a passionate Disability Support Worker to join the team, located throughout Eastern-Melbourne.

- 37 year-old-female participant.
- Canterbury location.
- 11:00 am - 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Monday(s) to Friday(s). Specifically needing to fill Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Coverage for additional shifts beneficial.
- Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) diagnosis and experience required.
- Tasks include: Supervision (especially while mobilising), assistance with various Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Participant hobbies/interests include: music/signing, sport (athletics), dancing (ballet), kung fu, going to the gym, running, cycling, being outdoors and walking amongst nature, and watching movies and documentaries

We are looking for a competent, enthusiastic and reliable Support Workers who possess the right empathy, interpersonal skills and ethics to prioritise the care of our clients.

Essential Selection Criteria (or willingness to obtain):

• Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Current National Police Check
• Current Working with Children Check (Employee status/if working with participants <18 years of age).
• Valid Australian Driver’s License.
• A reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance (to transport participants).
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Approximately $123).
• Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (minimum of two doses).
• The right to work in Australia.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $40.00 per hour
