Description of the role: We’re seeking a Finance Analyst (FP&A) to join our internal Finance team. In this role you’ll report directly to the CFO and play a key part in shaping our financial strategy, guiding investment decisions, and ensuring compliance in a dynamic business environment. This is a new created role that is an exciting opportunity for the right person to shape and make it their own.
What makes you ‘just right’:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
CA or CPA qualification.
3+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a medium to large company.
Experience in a professional services firm is preferable but not essential.
Proficient financial analysis, problem-solving and financial modelling skills.
Experience in process improvement essential, and system implementation preferable.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders (i.e. Senior Partners)
Proficiency in preparing and presenting financial reports to stakeholders, developing and maintaining dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Technically strong with the use of financial software tools and a keen interest in exploring AI functionality. A drive to continually want to innovate and upskill in these products and discover and learn new products.
What your day might look like:
Conduct financial analysis, modelling, and scenario planning to support strategic decisions, including investment and equity management.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance reports, highlighting trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
Support month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations and financial reporting.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to business leaders, partnering closely with internal stakeholders.
Contribute to M&A evaluations, investment planning, and risk assessment activities.
Be a key member of project teams for system implementation and process improvement within the finance function.
Mentor junior finance staff and support team development through training and KPI tracking.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, including ESG and the Modern Slavery Act 2018.
