About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Finance Assistant to support our growing finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about numbers, enjoys working in a supportive team environment, and wants to make a difference in the disability sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and process invoices and receipts
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Support payroll processing and timesheet reconciliation
- Assist with monthly reporting and budget tracking
- Maintain NDIS billing compliance and assist with NDIS claims through relevant portals
- Liaise with support coordinators, external stakeholders, and internal departments regarding financial queries
- Provide general administrative support to the finance and operations teams
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts or administration role (NDIS sector experience highly regarded)
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software (desirable)
- Strong MS Excel and data entry skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
Desirable Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Experience with NDIS payment processing and systems

Pay: $48,789.00 – $95,357.50 per year
