Position summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join their Perth-based team on a 6-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension pending 2026 budget approvals. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with end-to-end accounts payable experience who can hit the ground running and add value from day one.

About the role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing end-to-end accounts payable support and assisting the finance team with day-to-day operational tasks.
You will:
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies
- Prepare and manage EFT payment runs for both local and international vendors
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with month-end close processes, including prepayments and accrual postings
- Respond to supplier and internal stakeholder queries in a timely, professional manner
- Support the finance team with ad hoc reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in end-to-end accounts payable within a commercial environment
- Exposure to ERP/accounting systems such as SAP S4/HANA, Workday, or similar
- Strong reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Confidence in managing supplier relationships and resolving payment issues
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Immediate availability or short notice period preferred
