- Fixed term, part-time role, 3 days per week until 30 June 2026
- Salary: Band 4 - $68,107 to $73,152 (pro rata) + super + monthly RDO

The opportunity
Hobsons Bay City Council is looking for an enthusiastic and qualified professional to join the Rates Team within the Finance Department. This role involves managing property and rating functions, maintaining billing and property records, improving billing systems and processes, and engaging positively with ratepayers.
What you'll do
- Update rating database and property records.
- Handle daily rate collection tasks, including processing financial files and managing payment agreements.
- Provide excellent customer service and foster a positive engagement environment.
What you’ll need:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Understanding of the Local Government Acts of 1989 and 2020, and other relevant legislation.
- Knowledge of rating principles.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
