Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Food & Beverage Duty Manager to join our welcoming team at the Sydney International First Class Lounge. In this role, you will provide friendly, efficient food and beverage service supervision, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience. Reporting to the Senior Duty Manager, you will lead a team of supervisors and F&B Attendants, fostering a positive and high-performing environment
What you will be doing:
- Lead by example, delivering efficient, friendly, and professional food & beverage service to all guests.
- Manage front-of-house operations, ensuring high-quality service standards are consistently met.
- Complete the Daily Running Sheet and communicate effectively across all lounge areas, including Qantas staff.
- Report staff sickness, absences, punctuality, and other HR matters to the Lounge and T&C Manager.
- Handle verbal complaints and escalate to the Lounge Manager when necessary.
- Maintain clear communication with your front-of-house team, kitchen, and management, ensuring all relevant information is shared.
- Uphold food hygiene and presentation standards in accordance with council/legislative regulations and the Qantas Food Safety Plan.
- Ensure compliance with Accor and brand policies at all times.
In this role it is required to have the ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster, hold a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate and the ability to pass a Federal Police Clearance to enable your work in the Airport. You must also have Australian working rights to be considered for this role.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- A passion for people and developing the next generation of hospitality leaders.
- Proven experience managing large teams within hotels or similar environments.
- Ability to support, guide, and motivate team members to meet operational expectations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in hospitality or a related field are preferred.
- Experience with Ento, Intelex, or similar systems is an advantage.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Confident, professional, and approachable, with excellent people skills.
