We’re seeking a passionate General Manager, Talent & Capability to lead our enterprise-wide People and Culture strategies. This is a critical leadership role that will shape how we attract, grow, and retain top talent, build future-ready skills, and drive a high-performance culture.
As a business partner to the COO’s, Executive Leaders and senior managers, this role role is responsible for developing a clear People and Culture strategy, across a highly de-centralised business, supporting the ongoing success of Cater Care, through understanding the short-term and mid-term business problems affecting the business, refining the longer-term strategy and developing clear and measurable plans for the P&C teams to deliver.
This role could be based in Sydney or Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement: Act as a strategic partner to the Operating Divisions, providing data-led insights on workforce trends, capability gaps, and retention risks.
Talent Strategy: Design and implement holistic talent frameworks, reduce advertising spend, reduce agency reliance and create an efficient process.
Culture & Engagement: Partner with senior leaders to embed a growth mindset, leading to reduced turnover and enhanced EVP.
Data & Insights: Use data and analytics to measure impact, guide decisions, and continuously improve programs.
HR Systems & Processes: Continuously improve processes and systems to enhance efficiency, user experience, and data integrity.
Financial Performance: Develop processes and champion systems that are commercially sustainable, focus on improvements and build alternative income streams.
Reporting: Oversee and report on tracking for all compliance, improvement and audit related activities.
Emotional Intelligence: Leverage emotional intelligence to collaborate productively, educate effectively, communicate thoughtfully, contributing to a respectful, inclusive work environment.

Skills & Experience
Significant prior experience within Talent Management, Human Resources and/or Leadership & Development.
Proven background in delivering large scale culture and transformation initiatives.
Strong emotional intelligence, including the ability to manage stress, adapt to change, and drive positive relationships across teams.
Strong business acumen with the ability to liaise and influence at executive level.
A strategic mindset with operational excellence and strong attention to detail.
Passion for people, learning, and unlocking potential.
