Girls Touch Football at Haileybury has evolved from modest beginnings into one of the School’s most popular summer sports.
Haileybury’s teams consistently rank among the top in the competition, regularly contending for premiership titles and the State Championship. This strong tradition of excellence reflects the dedication of our players and coaching staff, and the vibrant sporting culture at Haileybury.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Head of Sport, this role will coach the First Girls Touch Football team, with core responsibilities that include:
- Work with the Head of Sport to develop age and skill appropriate training programs for all age groups.
- Deliver safe, effective and professional sessions that progress the ability of all students.
- Develop a positive team culture and provide opportunities for students to show their abilities and achieve their individual goals.
- Be a positive role model and encourage an attitude of fair play, sportsmanship and appropriate conduct at training and competitions.
- A flexible approach to working hours to ensure a presence across key events in the program.
About You:
At Haileybury, we are looking for applicants who possess the following:
- Previous Touch Football Coaching Experience: Demonstrated involvement in high-performance coaching and/or state environments is highly regarded.
- Experience in Youth Coaching Development: Proven ability to support and guide young athletes through structured development programs.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Confidence in engaging with students, building rapport, and fostering positive relationships.
- Resilience and Professionalism: Ability to manage interactions with staff and students calmly and constructively, even in challenging situations.
