About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Grounds and Maintenance Officer.
This role is responsible for maintaining impeccable appearance of the site and attending to any maintenance issues as they arise and in accordance with the requirements of the site.
This position is casual, with the potential for additional hours to be picked up during peak periods.
Responsibilities
- Maintain beautiful outdoor spaces through mowing, pruning, planting, and pest control, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents and guests.
- Carry out general repairs and upkeep across the site, including accommodation, pool areas, and equipment, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate contractor work and manage grounds maintenance budgets to deliver high standards within financial guidelines.
- Conduct regular WHS checks, follow safety protocols, and ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities and incidents.
- Collaborate with team members, respond to resident queries, and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace culture.
About You
- A current “C” Class driver’s licence.
- Hands-on experience in building and grounds maintenance, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly in emergencies.
- Proactive, positive, and committed to delivering high levels of service with clear communication and a team-first attitude.
- Comfortable with manual tasks like lifting, bending, and operating tools and equipment across varied terrain and conditions.
- Understanding of the importance of PPE and safe handling of chemicals, tools, and machinery to maintain a secure work environment.
