Group Technical Manager
Location: based in Brisbane (consider Melbourne)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Technical Manager to join our team and lead the technical compliance, operational partnering function nationally.
The Opportunity
The Group Technical Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring our organisation consistently meets and exceeds compliance standards, achieves successful ISO accreditation, and embeds a strong culture of technical excellence across operations. This leadership role is both strategic and hands-on, partnering with operational teams to enhance performance, improve safety outcomes, and strengthen client trust.
This position requires regular national travel and the flexibility to partner with operations teams that work across day and evening shifts throughout ANZ.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support & Delivery
- Provide expert technical guidance to operational teams.
- Support site start-ups, ensuring readiness and compliance.
- Review non-conformances and lead corrective action initiatives.
- Compliance & Accreditation
- Lead ISO accreditation processes and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Oversee HACCP plan reviews and WHS compliance across operations.
- Drive improvements in safety systems, processes, and audits.
- Reporting & Governance
- Lead quarterly management review meetings and compliance reporting.
- Monitor technical performance metrics and drive improvement initiatives.
- Skill Development & Training
- Identify technical and compliance skill gaps.
- Design and deliver practical and written training programs for teams.
- Continuous Improvement
- Audit and streamline compliance processes, SOPs, and documentation.
- Champion innovation, safety culture, and operational excellence.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate compliance value to clients and stakeholders.
- Attend site audits and support customer engagements at start-ups.
About You
We are looking for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and can balance technical expertise with strategic influence.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in technical compliance and operational support roles, within food safety, hygiene, or related industries.
- A relevant degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the technical/compliance field is required
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, HACCP, WHS, and quality systems.
- Demonstrated success in leading audits and accreditation processes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence change.

Pay: $140,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
