Facilities Technician / Maintenance / Handyperson
Escape This is a premium escape room located in central Perth offering a large and rapidly growing number of immersive escape experiences. We pride ourselves on our theatrical sets and the realistic quality of our props and puzzles. Our escape rooms are ‘immersive theatre’ and we are continually striving to develop bigger and better experiences. We are on the lookout for a professional, efficient facilities technician / maintenance / handy person with a flair for the creative, to be based at our Highgate workshop.
Position Type: Full Time (Part-Time Considered)
Salary: $55,000 - $68,000 pa
Responsibilities:
- Structural maintenance of our props, puzzles, furniture and sets, which require constant repair, reinforcement and improvement;
- Work with our production team artists to ensure all items are kept in theme as part of our totally immersive room themes;
- General maintenance of all other equipment at the venue (Northbridge) and our workshop (Highgate);
- Liaison with trades/contractors where necessary;
- General facility upkeep (painting, repairs, etc).
Requirements:
To be successful in the role you will need to possess the following:
- Natural technical/mechanical aptitude with proven experience;
- Good woodworking skills;
- A problem solver;
- Collaborative, mature and positive approach to all aspects of your work;
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Good to have:
- Tinkering skills.
