Due to internal promotion, we are now recruiting a Head of Boutique for our Brisbane Fashion Boutique.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Head of Boutique is the driver of all five performance drivers across the Boutique – Leadership & People Strength; Client Engagement; Brand Performance; Financial Health and Sustainability. The Head of Boutique plays a vital role in the Fashion division and is our Brand Advocate. They are responsible for executing the Chanel difference in the boutique and demonstrating true Retail Leadership while acting as a business partner to bridge the needs in the boutique and support office.

Positioning the Fashion Advisor at the heart of the relationships with the client and championing customer engagement, to develop long lasting relationships with key customers.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
  • Work with the Head of Retail to define the strategy, vision and mission for the Brisbane boutique that will benefit both business and clients.
  • Work with the Head of Retail and the People and Organization team to ensure the boutique is equipped to deliver on vision, covering both capability and capacity and ensuring the conditions to deliver on the Client Relational Promise.
  • Monitor and forecast financial targets on a daily / weekly / monthly basis for the team. Analyze measurable statistics and take appropriate actions and / or inform relevant stakeholders.
  • Maximise the effectiveness of the boutique ecosystem by creating a culture of collective performance and collaboration, supporting and engaging cross-métier specialization roles in the boutique (e.g. Visual Merchandising, Retail Learning and Development, Marketing).
  • Foster a positive working environment and create a culture of feedback, encouraging diversity, mutual respect and teamwork, actively manage performance and address underperformance and proactively address and resolve employee relations matter, engaging Head of Retail and the HR Business Partner as appropriate.
  • Ensure unsurpassed client experience through innovative and retail excellence that exceed client expectations. Ensure that the service provided is in line with company and cross boutique practices.
  • Work closely with the Head of Retail and the Merchandising team to ensure that the boutique is stocked with appropriate depth and width of merchandise that will engage our clients and drive the desired business outcomes.
  • Reduce waste in the boutique, embed Sustainability in all activities and encourage boutique team to drive initiatives and share suggestions to advance the topic.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking a dynamic, transformative, and credible business leader with at least 5 years’ experience managing a Boutique of an international luxury brand or similar business. You will have strong business acumen and will be skilled at understanding and leveraging the levers that will drive holistic performance in a luxury retail environment, encouraging a culture of innovation.
Additionally, we are seeking;
  • Strong knowledge of the luxury industry with fashion sensitivity consistent with the brand
  • Passion about the field of Fashion (design, texture, fabrication), Arts and Culture
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills along with a strong analytic approach
  • Well-developed strategic leadership skills from a luxury retail environment and proven ability to lead and motivate people, and the capability to manage a business through leveraging teams.
  • A bachelor level qualification in Business, Luxury Management, Fashion or related discipline would be advantageous
