We are hiring for a Head of Category Development for Pharmacy.
We are looking for a senior category or sales professional with strong pharmacy channel experience and a good understanding of the health & wellness sector in ANZ to lead our biggest and most strategic channel. The Head of Category Development for Pharmacy is responsible for leading a team of 4 direct reports in developing and implementing the Pharmacy channel strategy for Blackmores and BioCeuticals across all key customers including CWH, Priceline, TWC and Independent Pharmacies. The role has direct responsibility and is the category lead for Chemist Warehouse. Key deliverables within the channel are unit, sales & share growth, winning range reviews, promotional effectiveness & objective category partnerships.
This role reports to the Category & Brand Experience Director and is based in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities include:
Strategic Category Leadership : Develop and execute long-term category strategies aligned with Blackmores’ business goals and customer priorities, particularly within Chemist Warehouse and the broader pharmacy channel.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) and external stakeholders to drive alignment and shared success.
Change & Transformation Leadership: Lead change initiatives across the channel, introducing new ways of working, process improvements, and capability development.
Customer Engagement & Thought Leadership: Represent Blackmores as a category expert, influencing customer strategies and contributing to the health and wellness agenda.
Team Leadership & Development: Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 2 Category Managers and 2 Assistant Category Managers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
Commercial & Promotional Strategy: Own the commercial performance of the pharmacy channel, including promotional planning, pricing strategy, and performance tracking.
Range Review Management: Lead range reviews and space planning to maximize distribution, visibility, and category performance.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize shopper insights and data analytics to inform strategy, identify growth opportunities, and measure impact.
Innovation development and execution: Help shape the innovation agenda with clear category opportunities and future growth platforms grounded in trend and insight. Collaboratively build end to end innovation plans with brand and sales team to maximise the launch in pharmacy channel.

Who are you?
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years in senior roles across Category Management or Customer/Channel leadership, with a strong track record of delivering strategic outcomes.
- Proven experience in the pharmacy channel, particularly with Chemist Warehouse and health & wellness categories.
- Ability to build and maintain influential relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders to drive mutual growth.
- Exceptional skills in data analysis, insight generation, and strategic planning to inform category decisions and commercial strategies.
- Demonstrated success working within fast-paced, cross-functional teams to deliver integrated business solutions.
- Strong understanding of promotional strategy, pricing, and commercial performance metrics within retail environments.
