Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff Management:
- Lead the partnerships team with high engagement and development outcomes.
- Review mentor, train, and set performance goals for the partnerships team
- Manages department workflow and general running of department
- Manage Partnerships Executives, Cinema Marketing Executives, and oversee selection of a Partnerships Intern each year.
Partnerships & Promotions:
- Work closely with the Global Promotions teams to build the vision for global partnerships rollout in AU & NZ and communicate local strategy on all priority titles.
- Shape the direction for local brand partnerships strategies on priority titles in collaboration with the greater marketing team.
- Create and manage 12-month brand partnerships strategy and key milestone planner to guide staff with developing partnership plans
- Develop targeted brand partnerships strategies with the primary goal of growing our contacts database across multiple industries.
- Maintain high-level relationships with relevant content synergy partners including games, soundtracks and publishing and find ways for meaningful collaboration.
- Maintain strong relations with marketing, media and promotion agencies and directly with brand managers.
- Maintain long term strategic partnerships with media owners to unlock critical promotional media assets
- Review and benchmark partnership practices while fostering creative and innovative new ways of working with partners.
- Be a trusted advisor to review status quo partnership practices, recommend creative and innovative new ways of working with partners.
- Participate in marketing group brainstorming to nurture an environment of creativity for ideas on all campaigns and titles.
Exhibition:
- Maintain strong relationships and work closely with Exhibitor marketing teams driving new, best in class collaborative marketing initiatives
- Work with exhibitor partners’ marketing leads to set bi-monthly marketing & promotions priorities planning calendar.
- Create and manage 12 month cinema marketing strategy to guide staff with developing cinema marketing plans that leverages key cinema partner programs and assets.
- Oversee in theatre co-op marketing programs incl. contra, retargeting/CRM and social media strategy to drive studio’s marketing efforts with exhibitors.
- Attend annual Movie Convention and present alongside senior management team.
Key Stakeholder Management:
- Manage key stakeholder relationships with senior leads across all NBCU & WB lines of business
- Leverage our sister company ecosystem incl. CP&L, Home Ent, Networks, Theme Parks
- Drive the strategy for effective communication and collaboration across all business units.
New Zealand:
- Oversee planning and execution of New Zealand brand partnerships strategy
- Manage New Zealand brand partnership approvals with head office
- Oversee planning and execution of New Zealand exhibition strategy
- Lead fortnightly WIP calls with New Zealand partnerships and exhibition teams to share insights and learnings
General:
- General support & participation in major campaigns and events as required.
- ANZ lead for Global Symphony Gold Priority Projects and representing Universal Pictures on the multi territory conference calls as part of Project briefing and delivery.
- Lead local Symphony activities across all NBCU business units
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary education in communications or marketing-based discipline preferred.
- Strong and proven background and experience in relevant promotions management.
- A demonstrated understanding of consumer promotions, licensing and cinema partnerships
- Good sales and relationship building skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills with a great attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of social media and the application of publicity and promotions across the digital platform
