About the Role
Due to continued growth and a busy year ahead, we are seeking experienced High Pressure Water Blaster Technicians to join our team for upcoming projects across Australia. As an HPWJ Operator or Assistant, you will be responsible for the removal of built-up product from tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and pipelines across a variety of client sites in the Oil & Gas industry.
Only hold your Assistant ticket? That’s still highly desirable and we’ll support you in completing your logged hours so you can progress to an Operator ticket. At Contract Resources, we are committed to continuous development and career progression, helping you get the most out of your HPWJ career.
Point of hire is open to all major capital cities, including:

Requirements & Experience Needed
- Minimum 12 months experience working on shutdowns, preventative maintenance projects within the Oil & Gas industry or similar industry.
- Experience in working on columns, tanks and vessels is highly desirable.
- Ability to work shift work (Day/Night/Weekends).
- Construction Induction (White Card).
- HPW Operator or Assistant ticket (essential).
- Working at Heights certificate (within 2 years - essential).
- Enter & Work in a Confined Space certificate (within 2 years - essential).
- Breathing Apparatus certificate (Highly desirable).
- Current Drivers Licence (HR/HC/MC - highly desirable).
- Gas Test Atmosphere (desirable).
- High Risk Work Licence – LF/Dogman/Rigger (advantageous).
- Full Australian work rights.
- Manual High Pressure Water Blasting.
- Tank Head cleaning.
- High Pressure Water Cold Cutting.
- Wash pad Water Blasting.
- Insitu cleaning, including inside confined spaces.
- Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety including participating in safety documentation requirements.
- Ability to work within a team environment while capable of working unsupervised.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
