Freycinet Lodge is an eco-lodge that sits within the world famous Freycinet National Park – a stone’s throw from the renowned Wineglass Bay on the picturesque East Coast of Tasmania. The Lodge consists of 70 rooms and a main lodge, thoughtfully constructed around a beautiful waterfront below The Hazards mountain range. Located approximately 2.5 hours from Hobart or Launceston, Freycinet Lodge neighbours the popular holiday town of Coles Bay.
Job Description

What you’ll do:
You will provide housekeeping and cleaning duties for all accommodation types and public areas to ensure the presentation of the property is of a consistent standard.
As houseperson, you will support the housekeeping team, by providing them with necessary linen and other items needed to fulfill their duties. This will require physical strength to safely move linen cages, carry linen bags and boxes of minibar product. Our accommodation types are spread across the property so the houseperson is required to drive a small van to maximise efficiency. On a daily basis you will:
- Ensure accommodation and venue areas are cleaned and serviced to NRMA Housekeeping Standards
- Linen changes, cleaning of cabins and replenishment of amenities.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of linen. Assisting with linen orders and processing of deliveries.
- Accepting deliveries of minibar stock, unpacking and processing.
- Working with a great team, but can also work autonomously.
What you’ll bring:
- A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests
- Housekeeping/houseperson experience
- Good fitness and strength as this is a physically demanding role
- Sound knowledge of WHS practices and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Good time management and an eye for detail
- An ability to follow direction related to daily tasks and expectations
- Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays
- A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
- A valid driver licence is essential for this role
