About the Role
Talison Lithium is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Housing Maintenance Planner to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you will plan and schedule maintenance activities for our accommodation and housing assets, ensuring maximum availability, safety, and reliability — all in line with statutory requirements, company standards, and budget expectations.

You're a qualified tradesperson with deep experience in the building industry, a proactive mindset, and a strong focus on maintenance planning and asset reliability.
Qualifications
- Trade certificate in Carpentry or Plumbing
- Current ‘C’ class Driver’s Licence
Responsibilities Include
General Responsibilities
- undertake any duties as directed by the Line Manager or Manager(s);
- conduct themselves in accordance with and promote the Talison Value; and
- comply with the Employee Accountability Statement.
Core Responsibilities
- plan, prioritise, and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance activities;
- ensure spare parts availability for planned maintenance tasks;
- conduct planning meetings to communicate maintenance activities;
- provide status reports on maintenance work (preventive and corrective) to Supervisors/Coordinators;
- assist Supervisors/Coordinators in ensuring timely maintenance and maximum asset availability;
- obtain quotes and issue Purchase Orders in conjunction with Supervisors and Coordinators;
- record all data, run hours, and maintenance activities in CMMS;
- generate maintenance backlog reports for Line Managers;
- report weekly ratios of available labour hours to actual planned work hours;
- analyse historical data and provide insights to management teams;
- ensure accurate cost capture on all planned and corrective work orders;
- maintain up-to-date work procedures and equipment Bills of Materials (BOMs);
- conduct monthly cost analysis, highlight variances, and provide explanations;
- provide preventive maintenance strategies in line with Maintenance Management Systems philosophy;
- assist in the preparation of annual and long-term budgets; and
- stay updated on the latest technologies and implement strategies to improve asset life and reduce operating costs.
Skills and Experience
- minimum 10 years' post-apprenticeship experience in the building industry;
- strong understanding of preventive and reliability-centred maintenance;
- proven experience with SAP or similar CMMS;
- working knowledge of maintenance planning principles and tools;
- proficient in MS Project, spreadsheets, and word processing software;
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working without supervision;
- able to engage across all levels of the organisation;
- safety-focused and team-oriented; and
- flexible and proactive in a changing work environment.
