ABOUT THE ROLE
As we expand our portfolio in Queensland, we’re seeking a dedicated HSE Advisor to join our dynamic team on a high-profile Education Project. This project is based on the Gold Coast and will also work across other projects in the region. If you’re passionate about safe, efficient construction and thrive in a collaborative environment, this is your opportunity to contribute to shaping educational spaces that inspire.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll assist in the safe and successful delivery of site works in line with “The ADCO Way” – our proven framework for quality and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review the documents and plans that govern the project delivery. Provide input into the HSE and quality plans and ensure these are in line with project, business and legislative requirements
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and Site Manager to ensure the project is adequately resourced with personnel of appropriate competency to deliver the project HSE and quality plans
- Coordinate with the Site Manager and Project Manager in ensuring all project undertakings are in line with the project HSE and quality plans
- Assist in communicating the requirements of the project plans to the wider project team, and proactively provide support in implementing the plans
- Undertake HSE and quality inspections and assessments. Report, document, and identify actions as necessary, and ensure they are implemented
- Contribute to the accurate and transparent reporting of the status of the project through Hammertech, the monthly project control report and any other required means
ABOUT YOU
- Cert IV WHS – Minimum
- Management system software experience e.g. Hammertech (preferrable)
- Proven experience as an HSE Advisor or similar role within the commercial construction space
- In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- A strong commitment to fostering a safety-first culture within the workplace
