About the role
As an Internal Auditor, you will provide independent assurance to the business and the RACQ Boards, helping drive positive change by assessing project delivery risks and governance across RACQ’s initiatives.
You’ll be involved in all stages of the project assurance process, from planning and execution to reporting and verification.
- Analyse project documentation and delivery practices to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Principal Auditors and Audit Managers to shape audit scopes using a risk-based approach.
- Develop and execute audit testing procedures, including stakeholder engagement and documentation review.
- Deliver clear and insightful audit reports with actionable recommendations.
- Lead follow-up and verification of audit action plans and contribute to continuous improvement of the internal audit function.
About you
To be successful in this role, candidates should bring 3–5 years of project delivery experience and a solid foundation in internal audit and advisory practices, with the ability to assess risks, communicate effectively, and contribute to assurance activities.
- Hands-on experience in project environments such as PMO Analyst, Project Coordinator, or Business Analyst roles.
- Familiarity with delivery frameworks like Agile, PRINCE2, or MSP, and the ability to assess governance and delivery risks.
- Strong understanding of internal audit principles, risk-based assurance, and advisory methodologies.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with executive-level stakeholders.
- Skilled in analysing complex structures and processes, designing audit tests, and building effective working relationships.
