About the role
The International Student Advisor is responsible for enhancing international students’ experience and wellbeing through advice, support, engagement and education activities. As the first point of contact for international students, you will play a proactive role in assisting students to have a happy, healthy, safe and connected education experience.
You will:
- lead a range of student voice and co-creation activities;
- coordinate a variety of innovative events and initiatives for international students; and
- promote an international student inclusive environment at Federation University.
About you
You will understand the transition needs of international students and be able to assist these needs with your established interpersonal and communications skills. You will have a passion to support students meet their academic and personal goals whilst also having the ability to work independently and collaboratively on conflicting tasks.
You will possess:
- professional experience providing direct welfare services;
- a high level of professionalism and organisational skills; and
- a high level of cultural competence with experience working within different cultural contexts.
