Job Description
The Inventory Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate stock control and providing a high level of customer service support. This role is pivotal in maintaining optimal inventory accuracy, facilitating warehouse efficiency, and ensuring timely communication and resolution of customer and client enquiries.
INVENTORY CONTROLL:
- Monitor and manage stock levels, cycle counts and stock integrity
- Conduct regular stock takes and investigate variances
- Maintain inventory accuracy within Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Coordinate with operations on stock movements, returns and adjustments
- Ensure timely data entry and reporting of inventory metrics
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Act as the key point of contact between warehouse operations and customers.
- Respond promptly to client enquiries and resolve issues related to inventory, dispatch, and delivery.
- Generate reports for customers and internal teams on stock availability, order status, and discrepancies.
- Liaise with transport teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of communication and transactions.
Desired Skills and Experience
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in cold storage or FMCG environment is highly regarded
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse customer service (3+ years preferred)
- Strong understanding of inventory systems and WMS (SAP, Manhattan, or similar)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
