About the Role
As a Investment Operations Associate , you will ensure operational exceptions are processed and resolved, clients are onboarded efficiently, and transactions are executed accurately and on time. This is a varied role where you will liaise with advisers, brokers, banks, and internal teams to maintain operational excellence.
While there are daily responsibilities, the nature of the role is dynamic, requiring adaptability, proactive problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and utilise proprietary operating system functionality.
- Perform daily exceptions validation, reconciliations, and resolve breaks.
- Maintain investment models as required.
- Complete daily transaction mapping of income and purchases or sales, including withholding tax updates.
- Manage Inspecie Transfers (Ins and Outs) for adviser and client requests.
- Request, upload, and validate cost bases for Managed Fund and ASX clients.
- Investigate and resolve cost base queries.
- Distribute corporate action activities to AFSLs.
- Process corporate actions, including buybacks, mergers or demergers, and entitlements.
- Provide backup to the trading desk and initiate monthly DCA trades as required.
- Process transactions and maintain process documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Recommend process improvements and participate in ad hoc projects.
About You
- Proven experience in an investment operations role, with exposure to reconciliations, corporate actions, and Inspecie Transfers.
- Proficient in IRESS, Microsoft Excel (intermediate or advanced), and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
- Fast learner with a proactive, ownership driven mindset.
